TV Guide Interactive®

Challenge: Create a highly interactive Electronic Program Guide for multiple cable set-top boxes that is OS portable, and has a small memory footprint (under 1 MB). The guide must have a rich, modern look and allow for easy branding for different cable providers.

Solution: Start with a well organized and appealing graphic design rendered in Abode Flash for a very small graphic footprint (62kb). Wrap the Flash player in an object oriented C++ framework that allows fast screen contruction out of UI widgets (buttons etc...). Create OS indepedence via a custom UI event system that can be hooked up to any OS.

Result: An elegant, brandable, highly functional EPG that can be easily tailored to any cable set-top box running any operating system.
